Public Spaces Project Manager (80% to 100%)

The Parks and Estates Service is a key player in implementing the strategic challenges of the climate policy of the Vaud capital. It acts, as a leader or privileged partner, on numerous development and infrastructure projects in the city. It is also tasked with maintaining and developing high-quality communal landscaped public spaces. Our future colleague will join the dynamic team of the Public Spaces and Landscapes Office (BEPP).

Main Mission(s)

Lead the design of public space development projects in line with the Municipality's strategic orientations, particularly related to the operational implementation of the canopy plan and vertical vegetation projects

Manage studies and coordinate the construction operations of public spaces in an innovative and creative manner, ensuring compliance with costs, deadlines, and smooth progress of works to guarantee the creation of environmentally respectful places and structures

Oversee the services of specialised contractors within the framework of specific studies

Profile

ETH Master’s degree in landscape architecture, architecture, or urban planning, or equivalent training

Additional training in public space planning and project management

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the design and management of public space projects

Creative, pragmatic, rigorous personality with a results-oriented approach

Strategic and forward-looking vision, ability to quickly grasp issues

Skills in anticipation, planning, organisation, and control

Interpersonal skills, ease in communication, and excellent writing abilities

Good knowledge of laws, standards, and regulations related to the field

Good knowledge of the Lausanne municipal territory is an asset
