The Energy Service is strengthening its Information Systems and Finance department and is looking for a:
Data Manager/Data Officer at 80-100% (Fixed-term) Renewable 2-year Mission
The Data Manager will be responsible for data management and its security. Integrated within the Information Systems and Finance department (DFSI) of SEY, you will work closely with the Head of Information Systems. This position will allow you to be at the heart of strategic issues, actively contribute to the optimisation of data governance and management, and evolve in a stimulating environment focused on innovation.
Your main missions and responsibilities:
- Definition and deployment of the data and systems security policy, ensuring quality, security and compliance (LprD, nLpD, NIST, TIC, ISO27000).
- Implementation and deployment of governance, data modelling and classification to strengthen their management and security.
- Design and deployment of a DataLake, a DataCatalogue and BI tools. Also ensure the updating, evolution and maintenance of the solutions (DataLake, DataCatalogue and BI).
- Risk analysis related to the data analysed and proposal of appropriate mitigation measures.
- Writing guides and procedures for the use of data tools. Also analyse and supervise the processes of data collection, storage and use.
- Supervision of migration projects or integration of new technological solutions.
- Development of performance indicators (KPIs) to measure data effectiveness.
- Collaboration with business units to identify needs and align solutions with strategic objectives. Also provide technical support to teams to exploit the data.
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HES or university) in information systems management, business computing or equivalent.
- Excellent command of databases, analysis tools and IT security protocols. Practical knowledge of SQL, Python, Bash/Powershell languages and solid expertise in Business Intelligence (e.g. DMX/M).
- Proven experience in setting up or managing a DataLake and a DataCatalogue.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position or in data management.
- Fluent French, with a minimum B2 level in English.
- Good knowledge of cantonal and federal data protection laws and NIST, TIC or ISO27000 standards.
- Organised, rigorous, analytical mindset, ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
