A long-established and reputable boutique international trusts & fiduciary firm based in Geneva. Working primarily with expatriate corporate and private clients, the firm provides services including accounting, payroll, trusts, corporate advisory, and personal taxation. You will join a close-knit, busy, and collaborative team in centrally located Geneva (Rive Droite - within a 15 to 20 minute walking distance to Gare Cornavin), offering strong exposure to Swiss corporate accounting, payroll, and tax matters within an international client base.
Accountant
Accountant - Payroll & Corporate Tax Focus
This is a key hire within the accounting & fiduciary team, working closely with the Chief Accountant and CFO. You will join a busy, collegial, and dynamic team. The position is part-time to full-time, ideally 60-80%, with some flexibility depending on experience and seniority. The role is fully office-based in Geneva (no home office).
While the role remains broad and generalist in nature, there is a clear emphasis on:
- Payroll management
- Corporate tax compliance
- Swiss accounting standards
This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant seeking increased responsibility in payroll and corporate tax, while maintaining exposure to full-cycle accounting and fiduciary work.
Full-time, office-based position (no home office).
Main Responsibilities:
- End-to-end payroll management for corporate clients
- Preparation and review of payroll-related filings and social charges
- Preparation of Swiss corporate tax returns
- Liaison with Swiss tax and social security authorities
- Ongoing tax and compliance follow-up
- Full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting entries
- Invoices, payments, and reconciliations
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Preparation of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet)
- Corporate payments and cash management
- Audit preparation and assistance
- Administrative follow-up and client coordination
- 3-5 years++ of experience in accounting from a fiduciary
- Strong practical experience in payroll processing and Swiss corporate tax filings
- Experience using Abacus for payroll is required
- Proven experience in full-cycle Swiss accounting (not limited to data entry)
- Good knowledge of Swiss Code of Obligations accounting standards
- Qualified accountant or studying towards a qualification a plus but not a must
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of reliability
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Fluent English and French (B2 level or above in both of these languages)
- Already based in the Geneva area (frontalier acceptable) with valid Swiss work authorization
- Comfortable working fully office-based (no remote work)
