Cable Assembler Technician & After-Sales Service
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you split your activity between assembling electrical cabinets in the workshop and after-sales service in the field, following a weekly alternating rhythm: one week dedicated to assembly, one week dedicated to after-sales service.
Every other week, you cable and assemble electrical cabinets and storage systems that equip our installations in the workshop. The following week, you intervene to test, diagnose and repair installations and machines, either in the workshop or directly at our clients’ premises.
This arrangement allows you to keep a foot in production while regularly staying in contact with the field and clients — a balance that requires rigour on both sides but avoids the routine of a single-task position.
Your tasks:
Assembly, cabling and production (Assembly weeks):
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams and wiring plans.
- Cable and assemble low-voltage electrical cabinets (protections, inverters, regulators, storage systems).
- Comply with current standards (NIBT/OIBT) and internal quality standards.
- Check your own work and report non-conformities before shipment or installation.
- Coordinate with the design office and logistics for technical points and material availability.
After-sales service and field interventions (After-sales weeks):
- Diagnose faults on photovoltaic installations, storage systems and associated electrical installations.
- Repair and recommission, either in the workshop or directly at the client’s site.
- Work autonomously at the client’s site: preparation, execution, final check, informing the client of follow-up actions.
- Write intervention reports and keep after-sales tickets up to date.
- Report recurring faults or design defects identified in the field to the design office.
You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as an electrician assembler, electrician installer, automation technician, or an equivalent qualification, and you have initial practical experience in cabling electrical cabinets. Experience in troubleshooting or field after-sales service is an asset.
You read electrical diagrams with ease, work with rigour and know how to diagnose a fault methodically rather than by trial and error. Comfortable both in the workshop and facing a client, you are autonomous in your on-site interventions and know how to represent the company professionally.
You hold a category B driving licence. Knowledge of photovoltaics, battery storage or off-grid installations is a valued plus. Versatility and a taste for varied work, typical of an SME environment, suit you well.
