Head of Business Unit Abacus Finance

In this key role, you will take responsibility for leading and further developing the Business Unit Abacus Finance. You will lead a team of Junior Consultants, Consultants, and Senior Consultants both professionally and personally, promote employees purposefully, and create conditions in which quality, personal responsibility, and customer orientation are lived. At the same time, you will stay close to the market and customers: you will be operationally involved in selected customer projects, take on mandate and key account responsibility, and ensure that support and project assignments are implemented efficiently, on time, and with high quality.

A significant part of your role lies in the financial management of the Business Unit. You will keep an eye on utilisation, productivity, budget, forecast, and relevant key figures and work closely with management, controlling, sales, project management, business development, and other business units. Furthermore, you will ensure structured knowledge transfer, promote standards, quality, and development in the Abacus Finance environment, and actively incorporate market and product developments into new services, training, and offerings.

Your Profile

For this position, we are looking for a person with a completed commercial, IT, or business administration education, ideally complemented by advanced professional training or a proven track record in a comparable leadership role. You have several years of experience as a Senior Consultant, project manager, or leader in the ERP or Abacus environment, especially in accounting with topics such as FIBU, DEBI, KREDI, or EBICS. Experience in the implementation and operation of Abacus solutions, in consulting, support, or professional services organisations, as well as in key account and escalation management, is particularly valuable for this role. You have several years of leadership experience, develop teams purposefully, and work in a structured, pragmatic, and implementation-oriented manner. Project and service management, resource planning, and relevant key figures are familiar to you. You convince through entrepreneurial thinking, decisiveness, confidence, and high customer orientation.
