Apprentice Documentary Information Officer (AID)

The Swiss Cinematheque, a private law foundation based in Lausanne, has the mission to:

• collect and preserve cinematographic archives, regardless of their origin
• ensure the growth, conservation, restoration and enhancement of its collections
• establish a national museum and a cinematographic study centre
• serve the public interest The Access and Research department of the Swiss Cinematheque is looking for an apprentice for its Library and Research Centre sector:

Your tasks within the Library and Research Centre sector:

• Receive and catalogue documents
• Classify, equip and repackage documents
• Manage periodicals processing
• Conduct simple documentary research
• Handle press reviews
• Participate in user services

Your profile:

• School leaving certificate
• Proficiency in spoken and written French
• Knowledge of German, English or Italian
• Good general knowledge
• Methodical mindset and organisational skills
• Curiosity and initiative
• Interest in and sensitivity to Swiss and international cinema
