We are looking for a

About the role

You will be reporting directly to the Dean EHL School of Practical Arts. Your role will be to have a clear professional responsibility on the Food and Beverage management across our campuses. In this role, it is critical to cooperate, collaborate in team-work and work closely with the Executive Chef. There will be a strong collaboration with all Lecturers and Senior Lecturers in the Preparatory Year program as well as with the various other campuses and other functions on campus. This role also requires a strong and dynamic learning mindset to adapt to customer’s needs, to test and learn, to look for efficiency when possible.

Line responsibilities

Leading by example in the field with the operational teams: service, bars, events, points of sale;

Promote actively F&B products as well as the brand in all outlets, boutiques and catering;

Participate in designing the menu & establish the planning in coordination with Executive Chef;

Ensure a high quality & diversity of food and beverage products and offerings

Collaborate with the housekeeping department to guarantee a high quality cleaning of all public F&B areas;

Develop and implement the Food & Beverage and Events concepts; Be a driving force behind proposals for new F&B offerings in different areas of the campus to meet demand from students and external customers

Contribute to the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) actions or projects which can be linked to waste management, environmental strategy, best practices or policies.

Transversal responsibilities

Plan development of facilities & equipment’s of Restaurants, bars and outlets in collaboration with Real estate Services;

Participate and ensure a smooth integration of Academia education programs;

Contribute actively to various projects such as development of new campus, new point of sales, opening of new campuses or any future projects related to this area of responsibility.

Management responsibilities

Manage teams of several professionals by ensuring recruitment, development and assessment;

Ensure proximity with end customers (students for example) to optimize the offer and adjust to the needs

Works closely with F&B managers on other campuses of the EHL group

Ensure a full compliance with hygiene and safety by maintaining & developing policies, procedures and certifications;

Manage and optimize financial aspects such as budgets, purchasing requests, inventories, cost control, pricing, profitability and P&L;

Establish regular reporting to the Dean EHL School of Practical Arts through management meetings;

Participate to the promotion of EHL brand in order to increase EHL’s profile within the industry.

About you

You have Bachelor / Master / MBA degree in a the Hospitality Management or equivalent diploma;

Your mothertongue is French and you have a very good knowledge of English. German is a plus;

You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position;

You have an excellent in communication and you possess a good sense of initiative and organization;

You are able to exercise a natural leadership and make decision, you have the ability to be creative, flexible and results-oriented;

You have a strong interest in pedagogy and desire to pass on knowledge to students;

Experience in Michelin-starred restaurants and in various hotel categories.
