European Respiratory Society is an international organisation that brings together physicians, healthcare professionals, scientists and other experts working in respiratory medicine. Your role:
The Scientific Programme Assistant will support and reinforce the scientific programme team for organisation, communications and invitations related to ERS events, including ERS Congress, seminars and conferences. The person in this position will also help in official meetings preparation, relevant follow-up, reporting and will attend ERS meetings when required. Additional administrative tasks related to events programme and attendance may be required.
Your Tasks:
- Assist in communications with events/sessions organisers, chairs, and faculty in relation to events presentation(s), including confirming participation, sharing relevant information, collecting presentations, organising preparation sessions and updating internal platforms.
- Organise, take minutes, and follow up on internal and external meetings to support programme deliverables.
- Ensure smooth preparation of relevant materials prior to events, provide onsite support when required, and manage post-event follow-up, including participant surveys and reporting.
- Maintain and update relevant content on the website.
- Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate logistical requirements and organise meetings.
- Prepare statistical report based on faculty, participants, and content data.
Your profile:
- Highly proficient in office administrative support, with strong command of Microsoft Office programmes (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is an asset.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with attention to details, timelines, regulations, and deadlines.
- Proactive, eager to learn, enthusiastic, independent, and a team player.
- Experience in delivering small-medium size events in an international environment is an asset.
- Swiss nationality or valid working permit.
