We are seeking a Project Manager for a 6-month maternity cover (July to December 2025) to support the implementation of a well-established capacity building programme focused on food safety, energy management, and circular economy.
Our client is a globally active organization based in Geneva, focused on strengthening institutional capacity and promoting sustainable development through international cooperation. It delivers structured capacity building programmes that support public and private sector stakeholders in developing countries, aligned with global development goals.
Description
This is a highly operational role-you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering programme activities across multiple countries, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate the rollout of programme components in collaboration with international experts and regional coordinators.
- Oversee training-of-trainers sessions and distance mentoring for participants and pilot organizations.
- Apply results-based management (RBM) principles to monitor progress and contribute to performance reporting.
- Develop high-quality programme documentation, including success stories and reports.
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g., logistics) and external stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation.
- Provide input to the annual workplans and performance monitoring tools.
Profile
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Proven experience in international coordination or capacity building projects, ideally in Africa and/or Asia.
- Great writing, speaking and communication skills in both English and French (minimum C1 level); Spanish is a plus.
- Strong knowledge and application of results-based management (RBM), including narrative and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to roll out structured programs (not design from scratch).
- Experience working with or around standards, quality infrastructure, or conformity assessment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities across regions and topics.
- Strong interpersonal skills, culturally sensitive, and collaborative.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while knowing when to escalate.
