The SKJV supports the cantons in the training and continuing education of personnel, offers educational programmes for incarcerated adults, and contributes to the further development and professionalisation of the Swiss correctional system through expert knowledge, practical analyses, and networking.
Due to the upcoming retirement of the current Head of Education for Justice Staff, we are seeking, as of 1 April 2027 or by agreement, a:
Head of Education for Justice Staff 80-100%

Your responsibilities
- Leadership of the Education for Justice Staff division with operational responsibility
- Further development and initiation of programmes, training structures, teaching formats, and digital educational offerings to strengthen the correctional system in a practical and future-oriented manner
- Establishment and maintenance of cooperation with educational institutions and national partners; occasional collaboration with international specialist institutions
- Participation in politically relevant dialogues with cantons, the federal government, specialist institutions, and stakeholders to coordinate educational and development projects nationally
- Management of a team of specialists and promotion of a high-performing, team-oriented, and future-focused organisational culture in coordination with other divisions
- Professional preparation of topics for the Board of Trustees and representation of the division in relevant expert committees
- Contribution to the strategic overall development of the organisation with the Executive Board
Your profile
- Completed university degree (Master’s or equivalent qualification) and further education at post-Master’s level in the educational field or comparable tasks
- Several years of leadership and management experience in a demanding environment
- Experience in educational matters, training systems, or the development of educational programmes
- Digital affinity and experience with digital learning formats
- Knowledge of the Swiss correctional system and its federal structures or willingness to familiarise yourself quickly
- Experience in the public sector or in a quasi-public or politically influenced environment
- Experience in stakeholder management and cooperative networking
- Ability to constructively reconcile different interests and develop viable solutions
- High integrity, strong communication skills, and a reflective understanding of leadership
- Very good German and French skills, Italian knowledge an advantage

The CSCSP supports the cantons regarding the training and continuing education of personnel, offers training opportunities to detainees, and through its technical expertise, practice-oriented analyses, and networking work, contributes to the ongoing development and professionalisation of the Swiss system of detention and penal sanctions (EDSP).
Due to the retirement of the current Head of Education for Justice Staff, we are seeking, for 1 April 2027 or by agreement, a:
Head of Education for Justice Staff 80-100%,
Member of the Executive Committee
Your tasks
- Management of the Education for Justice Staff division, including operational responsibility
- Further development and initiation of dynamics in favour of programmes, training structures, teaching formats, and digital educational offerings to strengthen the EDSP in a future-oriented and practice-responsive manner
- Establishment and maintenance of cooperation with training institutions and national partners; occasional collaboration with international specialist institutions
- Participation in organising politically significant dialogues with cantons, the Confederation, specialist institutions, and stakeholders to coordinate training and development projects nationally
- Management of a team of specialists and promotion of a performance-oriented, team-spirited, and future-focused organisational culture in agreement with other divisions
- Technical preparation of topics for the Board of Trustees and representation of the division within relevant specialist bodies
- Participation in determining the overall strategic development of the organisation with the Executive Committee
Your profile
- University degree (Master’s or equivalent qualification) and post-Master’s continuing education in the training field or comparable tasks
- Several years of management and leadership experience in a demanding environment
- Experience in training issues, initial training systems, or the design of training programmes
- Inclination towards digital and experience with digital teaching formats
- Knowledge of the Swiss EDSP system and its federalist structures, or willingness to familiarise yourself quickly
- Experience in the public sector or in a quasi-public or political environment
- Experience in stakeholder management and cooperative networking
- Ability to constructively reconcile different interests and design viable solutions
- Absolute integrity, strong communication skills, and a reflective understanding of management
- Very good knowledge of French and German and preferably knowledge of Italian
