Network & Security Administrator 100% M/F
Job Description
Within BMC SSI SA, you will join our IT team and work on the environments of our clients in French-speaking Switzerland. You will participate in the design, deployment, evolution and securing of their network infrastructures, both On-Premise and within our Private Cloud.
You will work on varied projects: modernising corporate networks, deploying security solutions, Wi-Fi, site interconnections and securing services exposed on the Internet. You will also contribute to architectural choices, defining our technical standards and evolving our service and skills offerings.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy and evolve our clients’ network infrastructures: LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and site interconnections
- Implement and administer network security solutions: firewalls, VPN, segmentation, filtering and access security
- Participate in projects securing web services: WAF, Reverse Proxy, DMZ and secure service publishing
- Support our clients in analysing their needs and propose solutions adapted to their technical and business constraints
- Document deployed environments and contribute to defining standards and best practices.
- Handle complex incidents in support of the support team
- Ensure technological watch on domain developments: SASE, ZTNA, Cloud Networking, Wi-Fi and access security
Profile sought
We are looking for a person with solid experience in network infrastructures and cybersecurity, capable of working autonomously on client environments while collaborating closely with technical teams.
Qualifications, training and experience
Ideally, you have:
- A higher education in IT, telecommunications, networks or equivalent field, or professional experience deemed equivalent
- Several years of experience in network, infrastructure or IT security, ideally within an IT services company
- Good mastery of firewall solutions, notably Fortinet and Sophos
- Confirmed experience with enterprise network technologies: VLAN, routing, switching, VPN, DNS and DHCP
- Good knowledge of professional Wi-Fi infrastructures
- Mastery of issues related to remote access, network segmentation, site interconnections and secure service publishing
- An interest in modern security and access architectures such as SASE and ZTNA
- General knowledge of Microsoft environments and associated infrastructure services: Active Directory, RADIUS, PKI and authentication
Experience or certifications in technologies such as Fortinet, Sophos, HPE Aruba, Cisco or Ubiquiti are an advantage.
