The Civil Status and Naturalisation Service (SENa) is tasked with fulfilling the legal duties related to civil status and naturalisations. It handles, among other things, marriage applications, name or first name changes, adoption processes, recognition declarations, as well as naturalisation requests. Its essential tasks regarding naturalisation include compiling naturalisation files for municipal, cantonal, and federal authorities and carrying out all related investigative measures.

The naturalisation officer is responsible for processing naturalisation applications and verifying that legal conditions are met. Their tasks notably include:

• Analysing naturalisation files
• Checking residence and integration conditions
• Conducting interviews with candidates
• Writing investigation reports
• Collaborating with and supporting various municipal, cantonal, and federal authorities

• Tertiary level education (commercial CFC with diploma, CAS, HES) in the administrative field or equivalent training
• Interest in integration issues as well as the specificities of the canton of Fribourg and Switzerland
• Ability to conduct interviews
• Good listening, communication, and organisational skills
• Strong analytical and writing abilities
• Swiss nationality
• Excellent command of German with very good knowledge of French (written and spoken)
