Our client is seeking a pragmatic and hands-on HR Manager to strengthen the HR function.
HR Manager (m/f)
The role oversees HR activities for a workforce on site near Bulle (FR) and is fully on-site. It is part of a broader transformation programme involving global HR alignment, process standardisation, and the rollout of group values across sites.
This position combines strategic input with operational execution, supporting management while ensuring effective day-to-day HR delivery.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Administration
- Manage the full employee lifecycle (contracts, onboarding, absences, leave, sickness, and offboarding)
- Maintain employee records and ensure HR administrative compliance
- Provide HR support and guidance to employees and managers
Payroll & Social Administration
- Prepare and control monthly payroll inputs and checks
- Manage Swiss social security administration (AVS, AC, APG, LAA, family allowances)
- Perform monthly reconciliations and ensure data accuracy
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Draft and publish job advertisements
- Screen applications and conduct interviews
- Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process
HR Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted advisor to local management and participate in management meetings
- Contribute to decision-making at site level
- Support leadership in people-related topics and organisational development
Global HR Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to global HR initiatives and group-wide alignment
- Support the rollout of policies, processes, and group values across sites
- Adapt global HR frameworks to the Swiss context
- Drive continuous improvement of HR processes at site and group level
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure HR compliance and support audit preparation
- Maintain accurate reporting and HR KPIs where required
Profile & Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar HR generalist role
- Strong hands-on HR experience, combining administration, payroll, and employee relations
- Ideally holding a Swiss HR federal certificate (Brevet fédéral RH - completed or in progress) or equivalent
- Strong communicator, able to work independently and engage with management
- Comfortable in a transformation environment and evolving organisational setup
- Experience in supporting change, process improvement, and HR systemisation
- Fluent in French and English (German is a plus)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills; accounting exposure is an advantage
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments is a plus
